St. Louis County Real Estate Sales Statistics January 2009 (First Week)
The first week of sales in St. Louis City and County have been logged into our local St. Louis Multiple Listing Service (MLS). The Multiple Listing Service tracks Realtor activity in the United States and Canada.
In the county, we have seen 87 closings since January 1, 2009. During this same time period in 2008, we saw 167 closings. So business, as we begin 2009, is markedly down. The numbers of buyers are not out there as they were in the past few years.
