Des Peres Parks and Recreation: Phantom Forest and Bittersweet Woods
The Missouri Department of Conservation manages two preservation areas within the City of Des Peres, 10 acre Bittersweet Woods and 13 acre Phantom Forest. Both of these areas are located in the western section of the City. The Phantom Forest is accessed off Barrett Station Road between Manchester Road and Dougherty Ferry. The parking lot is immediately North of Huntercreek Road. The City of Des Peres just completed work on the connecting trail that adjoins these two conservations areas.
